WooHoo! Spring is here, which means it is time to start up the ABC road time trials yet again. Make plans to be at the first one of the season, THIS Thursday. Meet at Mueller's on FM 18. Registration will be at 6:00 pm and the first rider will take off at 6:30. It is the same 10 mile loop as last year. Once again, there is a fee of a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Food Bank. This year, all donations will be made in the memory of Don Dunstan.
For those who have not been before, FM 18 is off of HWY 36 right before the airport. Turn left onto 18 and drive for a mile or so. Mueller's will be on your right. Just park in their parking lot and get ready to ride. This is a great way to see how well you are riding and to see how you improve over the season. Come on out and give it a try. Everyone is welcome!
Here at BikeTown we couldn’t agree more. We love riding our bikes and want to help as many people as we can love riding their bikes, too.

Steam-N-Wheels 2009
It must be spring! Steam-N-Wheels is right around the corner - this Saturday, in fact. If you haven't already registered, make plans to be at Nelson Park by the zoo entrance on Saturday morning, March 21. The ride starts at 10 am and will have three routes: a 48 mile, 32 mile, and 21 mile. The entry fee is $25. Registration the morning of the ride will be open from 8:00-9:45 am. After all the riders take off, there will be a children's bicycle rodeo and tour from 10:00-12:00 in the park and zoo area. It is for ages 3-12 and costs $5 per child. Each child will get a free ticket to the zoo for that day as well. Everyone come on out and join the fun!

Thanks for the Hard Work!
If you were out at Buck Creek Trails last Saturday, you might have seen these guys. Richard Valdez, Steve Stovall, Bob Sanderson, Mike Daniel, and Jay Kish were hard at work building a new bridge to tie in Mutt Loop to the rest of the trail system.
